ABOUT WOD FUEL:

WOD Fuel has been designed with functional fitness athletes in mind. The majority of functional fitness workouts can be very intense and last for long durations leading to a more rapid depletion of energy reserves.

If training at a box or functional fitness competition for the entire day, replenishing glucose between those events can come down to a very short window of time and can play a significant role in continued performance.

WOD Fuel replenishes nutrients that your body is using up during a training session, allowing you to keep giving your all.

WOD Fuel uses Cyclic dextrin, also known as cluster dextrin. A unique carbohydrate source that quickly digests in the gut due to its low osmolarity. This reduces the chance of any gastric distress during training sessions, which can often occur from cheaper carb powders such as maltodextrin and dextrose.

Using a branded trademark licensed version of cyclic dextrin is very important in order to guarantee you the highest possible quality.

The addition of citrulline malate, will aid blood flow and will raise nitric oxide levels in the blood. By increasing your nitric oxide production, you'll be able to increase training volume, row harder, and lift heavier.

During most WOD's our body naturally becomes fatigued very quickly. One of the greatest benefits of Citrulline Malate is in its proven ability to help delay muscle fatigue, by promoting an increase in aerobic energy production or ATP.

An optimal dose of BCAA's which are the building blocks of protein to aid with endurance and recovery.

Glutamine – added to aid with muscular recovery. Research has found that the intramuscular concentration of glutamine is correlated with the rate of net protein synthesis. Research also suggests glutamine can help promote replenishment of glycogen stores after intense exercise.

The addition of taurine can help with cellular hydration and support blood flow.

Finally we have added a blend of all the essential electrolytes (calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium) which help maintain a normal salt balance ideal for intense crossfit training.

We recommend you take 2 x level scoops (approx 10g) and add to 200ml cold water. Consume 30 minutes before exercise, ideally on an empty stomach.
